Fuel cell cars get 4 times the mileage (yeah 400% better mileage), and the hydrogen fuel is so simply it can be made from urine as an example (google it) yet for fear of Exxon, wsj article doesn’t mention that all the major auto manufacturers have agreed to mass produce fuel cell cars by 2015. The Chevy Volt is a fuel cell car with a conventional generator for the moment and GM has decided on an initial production fuel cell design and has begun figuring out the manufacturing process. So Houston you will not have traffic problems because natural gas may soon displace diesel for tractor trailer trucks ($1 cheaper per gallon) and natural gas may initially provide hydrogen for future fuel cell cars but the Congressional republicans don’t have the balls (google T. Boone Plan) to do what’s great for the nation and facilitate the switch from imported crude to domestically abundant natural gas.
