This year we decided to take the kids away for a late holiday to Corfu. I managed to find an excellent package deal with a family friendly hotel, which was close to the local attractions so I was very pleased with myself. The holiday itself was brilliant, everyone had such a good time, but it was all marred by what happened when we got home. My husband was the first to enter our house when we arrived back from the airport. I couldn’t see his face but all I heard was a string of expletives coming from his mouth. We had been burgled and the whole place had been trashed. We literally had to pick through the wreckage that was our house and find out what we still had and what we had lost. It was heartbreaking to see and I was so upset by it all. My husband took control and rang our home insurance company who sent us a claims form so hopefully we will get things sorted soon but it is still very upsetting.
