The bill that they are trying to collect from me is only $107 dollars and I told them that I would gladly pay it if they could prove that it was mine. Their answer was, prove it is not your bill. When I told them that we didn’t live in that town at the time of the bill, they said that we must have forgotten to turn off the service when we moved. We said that we had turned the service off, with Comcast because Comcast was our carrier, not Verizon. They said, prove it. Then I told them that the house that we lived in with that number had been torn down in 2006 before the bill was incurred. They didn’t care.

The problem with extremist Muslims are obvious. But the problem with moderate Muslims is not clear to those who believe in being tolerant. And the problem is that moderate Muslims should be DENOUNCING VIGOROUSLY their extremist counterparts. They should volunteer taking steps to make good feelings. They have a better idea who and where the extremists are (since a lot of them speak Arabic) and should work with authorities to locate, identify and thwart extremist activities. Instead, all they do is whine about their rights, and how the world misunderstands them. Duh!
I want to be as tolerant as I can of those who dont share my philosophies. But acceptance is a 2 way street, and acceptance requires the other side to do their part as well — something that ALL Muslims fall short on.

As the entitlement class whines about their poor planning and personal misfortune, it’s evidently left up to a diminishing supply of producers to carry everyone else’s water. Well guess what? We will enjoy more free time and a reprioritize our lives, or we will take our business to more friendly (overseas) climates.

Fred, the nation’s debt management advice has to be compared to the size of its economy. Yes, the government’s debt has increased, but our output has increased more as has our standard of living. That’s the reason why our stock market gains have been so large over the same period of time. Our total Federal debt to GDP % (including intergovernmental debt such as SS and Medicare) is close to 100%. This is high, but not unmanageable. Once our tax rates are increased back to the pre-GWB levels and the economy recovers from this recession, our nation, assuming the two political parties can cooperate, can get back on its fiscal feet in the next five years.
