The first bark collar I purchased broke a buckle as I was attaching it to my dog. The second died as soon as it got splashed as my dog was drinking water from his dish. There is not much the dog can do to disable it – apart from hurting himself, which is highly unlikely. I have several dogs and I have tried the scent and water treatments, that is, the citronella bark collar and the kennel silencer. However, personal stimulation and controls of Tri tronics bark collars are the most effective in instilling some level of discipline into each hard-headed dog.
