Pets without the mess – that’s the advertising slogan for Zhu Zhu pets - a bunch of furry motorized hamsters which interact with each other and the children playing with them using a primitive AI based on sensors. Parents like them as they don’t need to be cleaned up after – or fed and watered for that matter. Kids love them because they are small, cute, furry and make little noises when they’re petted. There are five different hamsters to collect in total and they come with a whole host of accessories which the kids can build and rebuild in a variety of different formats.
