I am a mathematician and sometimes I get lost in my own world. Once recently, my wife was talking to me about our Phoenix mortgage and I started thinking about something totally different. About twenty minutes later she asked me if I was listening and I told her that I was lost in my own head. She laughed and then made a joke. A few weeks later, I remembered our Phoenix mortgage and decided to run some numbers. I realized that if we were to refinance, we would be out of debt quicker and have more money overall.
