How to fix svchost exe application error? Did the problem come from a recently uploaded Windows update? If yes, you may need to update or re-register the DLL-dynamic library link files.

To re-register Update DLL files for Windows XP systems, click on Start> Run then type CMD in the dialog box and press OK or enter. This will open the DOS or command prompt. Type in REGSVR32 WUAPI.DLL and press enter. Wait for the line that saysDllRegisterServer in WUAPI.DLL succeeded.

Repeat the process for the following commands;

      REGSVR32 WUAUENG.DLL

      REGSVR32 WUPS.DLL

      REGSVR32 WUPS2.DLL

      REGSVR32 WUAUENG1.DLL

      REGSVR32 WUCLTUI.DLL

      REGSVR32 ATL.DLL

      REGSVR32 WUWEB.DLL

After all of this commands confirm ‘DllRegisterServer in [file].DLL succeeded’, type exit and restart the computer.
