Fort Haider Ali located on the opposite Krishnarajendra Rd Vanivilas hospital was built in late 1600. Hyder Ali fort renovated in the 18 century. Most of the fortress was destroyed in the fighting with the British, but what remains are well preserved. There is a temple of Ganesh (Ganapati), arches and towers in the Indo-Saracen style.
